The Love Code | Energy & Event Updates

A collection of healing crystals nestled among budding spring flowers under soft morning light.

Hello Love Coders!

Let's talk about Mars energy because this is one of those pieces of your chart that I think is incredibly useful when you're trying to understand how YOU actually navigate life.

We hear a lot about our Sun, Moon and Rising signs, but knowing your Mars can give you a completely different understanding of yourself.

Mars is your action energy.

It's how you go after something you want. How you initiate. How you assert yourself. How you handle conflict. What motivates you. How you respond when there's pressure. And, maybe most importantly, how you're naturally wired to MOVE.

Because we are not all designed to take action the same way.

Some people need to MOVE immediately when they get an idea.

Some need a plan first.

Some need to feel emotionally connected to what they're doing.

Some need freedom.

Some need competition.

Some need to talk it through.

And some of us can spend forever trying to force ourselves to take action the way someone else told us we're “supposed” to—and then wonder why everything feels so damn hard.

Alignment isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about understanding HOW you're naturally designed to do it.

You can look up your Mars sign for free using Cafe Astrology's Mars Sign Calculator. Enter your birth information and it'll tell you which sign Mars was in when you were born. For most birth dates, your exact birth time isn't necessary to determine Mars, although it can matter if Mars changed signs that particular day.

And if you're someone who likes going down the rabbit hole with me, here's another fun experiment:

Google your Mars placement in Vedic/sidereal astrology, too.

Your Vedic Mars may be in a different sign because Vedic/sidereal astrology and the Western/tropical system use different zodiac frameworks. Read BOTH descriptions and see what you notice.

Which one feels familiar?

Do you recognize yourself in both?

Does one describe how you naturally operate while the other seems to describe a different layer of you?

Don't worry about deciding which one is “right.” Get curious. 👀

Because the more you understand your own energetic makeup, the easier it becomes to recognize when you're working WITH yourself versus constantly fighting against yourself.

And with the massive energetic shifts we're navigating this year, knowing your natal Mars is only one piece of the puzzle.
